Mendocino College Baseball continued its upward trajectory in the Bay Valley Conference, earning multiple All-Conference selections, highlighted by one of the most complete players in the conference
Joseph Leads MENDO with Back-to-Back All-Conference Team Honors
Leading the group is Dominic Joseph (Modesto, CA), who earned First Team All-Conference honors for the second consecutive season.
A true two-way player, Joseph led the conference in hitting, finishing the 2026 season with a .405 batting average and a .480 on-base percentage. Over his two-year career, he hit .392 with a .458 on-base percentage, establishing himself as one of the most consistent offensive performers in the conference.
On the mound, Joseph was equally impactful, compiling a 9–6 career record with three complete games across 127.1 innings. As a sophomore, he went 5–2 with three saves, continuing to deliver in key moments and high-leverage situations.
Defensively, Joseph added another dimension to his game, playing error-free in 2026 while providing stability and reliability when not on the mound.
He delivered in critical moments throughout the season, including dominant outings on the mound and clutch performances at the plate. His ability to compete on both sides of the ball established him as one of the conference's premier players and set the standard for the program.
Bush Emerges as Freshman Pitcher of the Year
Westley Bush (Forestville, CA) was named Freshman Pitcher of the Year while also earning First Team All-Conference honors. Bush emerged as a frontline arm, posting a 3.77 ERA over 62.0 innings while consistently delivering in key conference matchups. His toughness and composure were on display all season, including multiple standout performances against top opponents. His ability to take the ball and compete set the tone for the pitching staff.
Ford Breaks Program Record at the Top of the Lineup
Trenton Ford (Ukiah, CA) earned First Team All-Conference honors after establishing himself as one of the most dynamic players in the conference. Ford hit .305 with a .424 on-base percentage while breaking the program's single-season stolen base record with 34. His speed and instincts consistently put pressure on opposing defenses, and his presence at the top of the lineup helped drive the offense throughout the season.
Second Team Selections Highlight Depth and Versatility
Elijah Aguilar (Santa Rosa, CA) contributed at a high level both offensively and on the mound, hitting .361 with a .471 on-base percentage while serving as a key late-inning arm. He delivered one of the defining moments of the season with a clutch extra-inning performance to secure a series win over Solano.
Troy Rizo (Santa Rosa, CA) anchored the middle of the lineup, hitting .309 with a team-high 40 RBIs. His ability to produce in key situations made him a consistent offensive force.
Evan Needham (Newbury Park, CA) contributed across all phases of the game, hitting .376 while also recording four saves on the mound. A standout defensive first baseman, he provided stability for the infield and delivered in high-leverage moments, including closing out key wins against Los Medanos.
Behind the plate, Brodie Miller (Santa Maria, CA) anchored the pitching staff with leadership and defensive control. Miller hit .300 while posting a .989 fielding percentage and allowing just four passed balls on the season. His ability to shut down the running game and manage the staff made him a critical part of the team's defensive identity.

Kooper Dockins (Willits, CA), known as the "Prince of Willits," brought toughness and intensity to the hot corner while finishing second on the team with 20 stolen bases. His defensive play and competitive edge set the tone in key moments.
Matthew Anderson (Santa Rosa, CA), known as "Bear Claw," provided steady offensive production, hitting .326 while delivering flawless defense with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
Jack Domenichelli (Healdsburg, CA), nicknamed "Papa Jack," contributed as a versatile freshman, posting a .419 on-base percentage while playing multiple positions and consistently finding ways to impact the game.

Ethan Holbrook (Ukiah, CA), known as "Chugg," returned to the field after overcoming a serious accident that sidelined him for a season. A former First Team All-Conference selection, his return and perseverance reflected the program's resilience.
Joseph Bettiga (Windsor, CA), known as "Sweet Cheeks," brought consistency and discipline to the lineup. A clutch performer, he was the team's most reliable bunter and frequently sparked rallies that led to key victories.
Kent Abe (Fremont, CA) made the most of his opportunities, finishing his career with a .340 batting average and .604 slugging percentage while contributing in multiple roles.
Carson Goss (Taylorsville, CA) provided valuable depth as a utility player, hitting .350 while consistently delivering in limited opportunities and contributing across multiple positions.
Jackson Sadler (Reno, NV) represents one of the most powerful stories of the season. After suffering a devastating injury that could have ended his career, Sadler fought his way back to the field through determination and resilience. While his statistical contributions were limited, his impact on the team, coaches, and program was immeasurable. His return stands as a testament to toughness, courage, and the true meaning of competing for something bigger than the game.
