Joseph Earns Bay Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week Honors - April 15, 2026
Ukiah, CA — Mendocino College sophomore right-handed pitcher Dominic Joseph has been named Bay Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week following a dominant performance on the road against Contra Costa College.
Joseph delivered a complete game effort, throwing 9.0 innings while allowing just 5 hits and 1 run. He did not issue a walk and struck out 8, showcasing outstanding command and efficiency throughout the game. His performance led MENDO to a key conference win in Richmond, CA.
Joseph set the tone early by attacking the strike zone and keeping hitters off balance throughout the day. His ability to get ahead in counts, put hitters away, limit traffic on the bases, and maintain composure in a road environment was critical to the victory
In addition to his work on the mound, Joseph is also making a major impact at the plate, currently leading the Bay Valley Conference with a .430 batting average — establishing himself as one of the top two-way players in the 3C2A.
This outing reflects the standard of competitiveness and execution that Mendocino College Baseball continues to build. Joseph's performance not only secured the win but also highlighted his development and consistency as a frontline arm for the Eagles.
