All-Conference Outfielder Cody Guy Advances to the Next Level

Cody Guy has earned an athletic scholarship to continue his baseball career at the College of Idaho, starting with the 2026 season.

As a freshman at Mendocino College in 2025, Guy was a key contributor for the Eagles, serving as the starting left fielder and one of the team's most reliable offensive performers. He led the team in RBIs, finished the year with a .375 batting average, and added three home runs while anchoring the middle of the lineup. His production and consistency earned him Bay Valley Conference Second Team All-Conference honors.

Guy is projected to compete for a role in the middle of the lineup for the Yotes, who play in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (NAIA), one of the nation's premier baseball conferences and home to powerhouse programs, including Lewis-Clark State College.

The Yotes are led by head coach Shawn Humberger, who began his coaching career at the College of Idaho in 1990 and was named head coach in 2001. In 2025, Humberger reached a significant milestone, earning his 700th win — the most in program history.
